Barbara Wilkens joined the Privada Wealth Management team as the Client Care Specialist in 2017 and has been in the investment industry since 1979.
Since life is ever changing, we realize the importance of staying connected with our clients. As the Client Care Specialist, Mrs. Wilkens keeps in touch with our clients and assists them with their investment accounts.
Mrs. Wilkens graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Finance and minor in Accounting. She attained the Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM(AWMA®) designation through the College of Financial Planning and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation through the Center for Fiduciary StudiesTM.
In addition, Mrs. Wilkens has a Series 7 and 24 securities license through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), has successfully completed the Series 63 and 66 securities exams developed by the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), and has the Life and Health Insurance and Variable Annuities license through the State of Florida.
Almost 40 years in the investment industry has taught Barbara what matters most: “We are in the people business. We start with the person first and remember the person throughout the financial planning process. The investment industry has changed significantly since 1979 and will always evolve. But one thing that will never change: we are in the people business.”
Mrs. Wilkens has lived in the Orlando area for nearly 40 years and graduated from Winter Park High School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, and her daughter, Amanda.
